A Statistical Survey on Disqualification in Medical Selection of ROKAF Candidates in Seoul District

Abstract
|
|
|
1. Average disqualification rate of medical selection in Seoul district was 16.7±1.9%.
2. Causes for 2849 medical disqualifications were as follows in given order; Eyes (32.7%), E.N.T. (28.3 Height 8& Weight (13,.3%), Surgical defects (12.2%)
Dental (11.3%) Internal- medicine (1.9%) and Neuro-Psychiatric (0.1%)
3, Disqualifications,, due to more thann two causes were 290, revealing 11 3.% of totat
disqualifications.
4. The most common cause in Eye section was insufficient visual acuity, and showed 19.1% of total disqualifications and 3.6% of total candidates.
5. The most common cause (of disqualification) in E.N.T. Section was sinusitis, showing 15.5,% of total disqualifications and 2.8 0 of total candidates.
6. In this survey, color blind~ess was encauntered in 335 among candidates, thus showing 2.2%.
